Indirect Characterization- drawing conclusions from what has been previously stated by the authore about a specific character
Direct characterization-
smallish with a hard stringy physique, of an itinerant laborer

he looked hungry, arrogant, stubborn
My brief opinion of Chris McCandless is that he is insane. He has the lifestyle and background that everyone dreams of, and he throws it all away to live the lives of fictional characters portrayed by his favorite authors. If he wants to do this, he should first take necessary preparations. McCandless in my opinion is very stubborn and arrogent because he denies most of the help offered. h
